Still getting use to this new hairdo! When we picked up our girls from kinder, it took them a while to recognise me, and the 3yr old asked "are you a boy now mum?"

A huge thanks to Zúmay Salon for cutting this hair!

And that's a cut!

Global Tapestry - Worlds Greatest Shave

All done - hair cut off for the World's Greatest Shave and the cut lengths are ready to be posted to the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation to make wigs for kids. Noah seems very pleased with the new shorter hairdo when he's up in our Inoshi Baby Carrier! What do you think?

A huge thanks to Zúmay Salon for their wonderful support! There is still time to sponsor me, either donate through the link in my bio or drop some coins into the donation box at Zumay in Mornington.

TOMORROW

Global Tapestry - Worlds Greatest Shave

Tomorrow I'll be chopping most of my hair off as part of the World's Greatest Shave! The cut hair lengths will then be donated to the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation to make wigs for kids!

If you're able to spare $2 or more, it would be wonderful if you could sponsor me! Money raised goes towards support and finding a cure for blood cancers like leukaemia. So far I've raised over $1,200 and it would be lovely to see this grow (unlike my hair!)!! See the link in my bio!

Or, if you're in Mornington, you can pop down to the lovely people at Zúmay Salon who have kindly donated their services in cutting my hair off! You can drop in a few coins into their collection box on their counter!

IT'S BOOKED!

Global Tapestry - Worlds Greatest Shave - Zumay Hair Salon

On Thursday the 16th March, this hair is getting chopped as part of the World's Greatest Shave!

And the very lovely people at Zúmay Salon in Mornington have kindly donated their services to seeing this mass of hair coming off!

Hopefully my locks will be at least 30cm long and I'll be able to donate the lengths to the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation to make some wigs for kids!

If you'd like to sponsor me to help raise funds to fight against blood cancers, my sponsorship link is in these comments - or if you're in Mornington, head into Zumay and pop some coins into their WGS Donation Box.

LET'S CUT OFF THIS HAIR!

Global Tapstry Worlds Greatest Shave

As part of the World's Greatest Shave, I'm going to be giving my hair a major trim (Shoshi will be pleased to get rid of all that fluff when babywearing!)! AND I'm then going to donate the cut-off locks to the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation* so that they can be turned into wigs for kids who have lost their hair.

Why?

Why not! I don't need long hair anymore (thanks motherhood, but the staple mum-bun just aint doing it for me anymore, and my hair is falling out post pregnancy anyway...) so I figured I might as well use a haircut to raise money for a good cause and then donate the long locks to kids who would benefit from them.

So please sponsor me during this quest and come mid March, you'll see me sporting a new - much shorter - hairstyle (and a kid with a new wig!). I think our girls will probably join in and get their hair temporarily dyed in rainbow colours, and hubby will hopefully sport a shorter 'do too!

Thanks so much!!!

Jen and family!

* Donating my cut hair to the AAAF is dependent on how long my cut locks are - they need to be at least 30cm/12inch. If my hair isn't this long, then I will donate to either Wigs for Kids (25cm/10inch) or Pantene Beautiful Lengths (20cm/8inch).

THE NORMAL SPIEL...

I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!

Please sponsor me to give Aussie families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need. You will also help fund vital research so more people survive blood cancers like lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma.

You may not know it but blood cancer is the third most common cause of cancer death in Australia, claiming more lives than breast cancer or melanoma. And every day another 35 people will be diagnosed.
