FRONT WRAP CROSS CARRY (FWCC)

The Front Wrap Cross Carry is a great beginning carry, as it allows you to fine tune the tightness of your wrap, while also allowing you to add in some fancy finishes.

Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC) - Step-by-Step Instructions (expand to view >)

1: Bring the center of the wrap across your bust to make a horizontal pass.

2: Bring the tails behind your back and cross them over, making an X.

3: Bring the tails over your shoulders, bunch the front of the wrap under your bust and tug it tight.

4: Holding your baby, slide their legs into the wrap, until fabric is knee-to-knee.

5: Bring the wrap up baby’s back to the nape of their neck.

6: Make sure the fabric is tucked under their bottom.

7: Tug the whole tail to tighten then wrap - pull it off and away from your shoulder. Repeat for other tail.

8: Tighten the top rails and/or bottom rails to fine tune the tightening. Repeat for other tail. Secure the tighten tail between your legs.

9: With both hands, stretch and spread the tail to cover baby’s back from their shoulder to under their bottom and from knee-to-knee.

10: Gather the tail, pass it under baby’s leg and around your back/front - secure it between your legs. Repeat Steps 9 & 10 for the other tail.

11: Tie the tails in a double knot at your back, or bring the tails around and tie at your front.

12: Finished!

To take off, untie and unravel all of the wrap off you and your baby.

POCKET WRAP CROSS CARRY (PWCC)

A PWCC is a quick way to “pre-tie” your wrap before putting baby in.However, because of this, it’s difficult to fine tune the tightness of the wrap once baby is in there.

POCKET WRAP CROSS CARRY (PWCC) - Step-by-Step Instructions (expand to view)

1: Bring the center of the wrap across your bust to make a horizontal pass.

2: Bring tails behind your back & cross them to make an X.

3: Bring tails over your shoulders. Pass behind the horizontal pass & cross them to make an X. Tug tight!

4: Bring the tails tight behind your back (or around to your front again) & tie in a double knot.

5: Hold your baby against you & feed each leg through either side of the X (not the horizontal pass).

6: For both sides, spread the pass across baby’s back, covering them from knee-to-knee.

7: Bring horizontal pass over both legs & spread up baby’s back. Ensure baby is covered from neck to bottom & knee-to-knee.

8: Finished!

To take off, untie & unravel all of the wrap off you & your baby.
